Medivet is the largest independent small animal group in the UK which is managed entirely by vets. We know your first role in practice is a critical step in your career. So we’ve designed a graduate support programme that supports you as an individual as you graduate from the lecture hall to the consult room.
Few of us had the full range of consulting, medical and surgical skills on day one. With our programme, you’ll benefit from one-to-one training with an experienced vet for three to six months. We’ll help you build trust and confidence in your own skills, take the pressure off and avoid many of the stresses that can really get you down. Your on-the-job training will include days to gain other essential skills, such as lab interpretation, communication workshops and customer service training.
At the end of your training, we’ll guarantee you a job with us. Promise.
That job will include a dedicated Buddy to help you settle into your new role. He or she will be your first point of contact for clinical or other advice, and they’ll help make your integration into the Medivet family as smooth as possible.
Graduate Support Programme benefits package:
• Salary of £21,000 p.a. (increasing to £24,000 p.a. upon taking up your first job with us)

Established in 1987 in North London, Medivet has rapidly grown into a national small animal veterinary group with nearly 200 practices and 2,000 staff across the country.
Our national support centre is based in Watford, with a regional office in St Helens. We remain a privately owned veterinary partnership, owned and run by veterinary surgeons: excellence is key to both our front line service and our organisational ethos.
