Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Hucknall Practice in Nottingham and lead the team as Head Veterinary Nurse. The practice is located just a short drive from the vibrant Nottingham City Centre, with great transport links available.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years qualified veterinary nursing experience. Proven experience of leading a team is essential, ideally you will have 2 years management experience and a well organised approach towards work. You will have clinical coaching experience and be keen to support and develop our student nurses and not be afraid to get stuck in with the duties and lead by example.

The role is full time working 40 hours per week with one in five weekends on a rota.

About the practice;

You will be working as part of a driven team of 3 vets, 6 nurses and 2 receptionists within a fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in our busy first opinion practice that works closely alongside our referral practice at East Midlands. The practice will give you the opportunity to experience a wide range of cases and provides exposure to the recovery of the spinal cases seen at East Midlands referrals.

Medivet Hucknall comes well-equipped with 4 consult rooms, separate prep and theatres, digital x-ray, ECG, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, In-house laboratory and access to CT Imaging and MRI at Referrals East Midlands.
