Yesterday, on recommendation from a friend, I took my dog, Inca, to see Peter van Dongen at Medivet in Horsham regarding her intermittent lameness which has been ongoing now for quite some time and has got progressively worse....I didn't have any expectations....We have already seen 2 specialist vets and have conducted gait analysis, X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans without finding anything substantial enough to be causing the lameness. We've also been for hydro and physio and although everyone was very thorough and did a great job of checking her over, we couldn't find anything other than some minor arthritis in her wrists and one of her elbows. With each trip to the vet, I ended up coming home with a different set of painkillers for her, none of which made any difference. I don't think I have ever trusted a vet quite so quickly and Pete clearly has so much knowledge and experience. He listened to everything I said, looked over her recent X-rays and assessed her movement before he checked her range of movement . He quite quickly found the cause of her injury and was able to explain it to me in detail and even show me how he had discovered it and how it had impacted her muscle tone and range of movement on that leg. So it turns out that Inca has a partial ligament tear in her shoulder....we have been looking in the wrong place the whole time! It is also possible to see this on her X-rays, due to calcification build up, if you know what you are looking for! So relieved to finally have an explanation and to be able to begin getting her back to fitness at last! I would recommend Pete to absolutely anyone, especially if you have been struggling with finding the cause of an injury. I'm going to be registering my other two dogs with him today! Since I have got home, I've found out that numerous other people have had similar experiences and it seems that Pete's manner and professionalism is becoming quite well known amongst those with dogs competing in dog sports! I wish I had been to him from the beginning and won't be going anywhere else now! In addition to this the entire reception team were so friendly and polite as well, which really makes it a great experience for me and my dogs.

This is Lenny on the day he came home after a life saving operation. He got heat stroke & then got a twisted gut. I would like to thank Julia for her fast actions that saved his life. This is the second time this year Lenny has had an operation the last one being done by Esperanza (sorry that’s probably spelt wrong) she was amazing & nothing was to much trouble. Would like to thank everyone that has helped look after Lenny. We are very very grateful. Xx

As new dog owners, and having never had a dog before, we signed up for Mandy's puppy party. We cannot recommend this course enough! The whole family was encouraged to attend and we learnt so much about how to look after our new pup. Mandy is hugely knowledgeable, patient and fun - no question was left unanswered (and we had a lot!). I am always recommending this course locally - we gained an immense amount of knowledge; it gave us confidence, plus our pup had a great time socialising with all the other pups. We're impressed with the whole team at Seers Croft and the facilities they offer. Thank you Mandy!

Just home form our annual jobs/check-up - Amazing Service and care delivered today to Max (my 6 year old Miniture schnauzer). Took out hte MediVet Healthplan and booked him in for his teeth to be cleaned and polished. Seer Croft/Medivet have always delivered amazing service and looked after Max since he was 14 weeks old - highly recommend this practise and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff that care for our pets like Drs care for us!

This practice has the most compassionate friendly staff I have ever experienced. Our beautiful cat was tragically taken from us and the empathetic and accomodating response from all of the staff involved was so appreciated, we will forever be grateful.

My bunny, Boo, had abscesses in his cheek and after one abscess filled up again after his first surgery, he was referred to Medivet Faygate. GianLuca did the procedure to remove the abscesses and burred down his teeth. Boo has a large wound but is remarkably lively considering what he’s been through. I can’t thank GianLuca enough for taking such good care of my little boy and also Lesley, the Head Nurse for keeping me updated too.

We have a wonderful parrot called Monty who we rescued about 8 years ago. We found it difficult to find a specialist avian vet in our area. Recently Monty who we now know is a she became very unwell and luckily we came across Seers (medivet) @ faygate in between Horsham and Crawley. Monty was seen by a vet called John Luca sorry if it's spelt wrong, we found him and his staff very compassionate and friendly, they with their expertise soon got Monty back to his naughty healthy self. A big thank you.

Attended with budgie who was in a very bad way. Mr Reynolds was superb. Not only with the bird but also with me. There is a marked difference with a specialist.

We were recommended to contact Seers Croft when in on emergency on bank holiday Monday when our 9 month old Westie, Flora, was bitten by an adder on the Denbies Hill walk off Ranmore Common Road. The first vet we went to was not able to help with the snake bite and in a panic we contacted our dog trainer who told us about Seers Croft. Thankfully Seers Croft had the antivenom and whilst we were travelling to the vet, Anselmo and the team had found out exactly what needed to be done to save Flora’s life. The team were so professional and kind and instantly made us feel like we were in the right place - they advised us what the options were and treated her quickly. Thankfully our puppy has made a full recovery and we will be eternally grateful for the treatment and kindness we received at Seers Croft. She was cared for so well during her stay and we felt 100% confident in the team. Flora has arrived home completely happy and fully recovered and our local vet has told us we were very lucky to have found a vet with the antivenom and the knowledge needed. We have told all our friends about Seers Croft and thank them with all our hearts. Best wishes. The Yeomans family and Flora

Today my beautiful Dalmatian and her 9 pups were saved by the amazing skills displayed by the veterinary team. After a long and difficult labour the team decided a c -section was the best course of action and managed to save 3 more pups. The skills and compassion showed to us by all the team was overwhelming. We can’t thank you all enough. We will be recommending you to all who will listen!

Saved my doggy's life following a cluster seizure out of hours on a Sunday afternoon. Esperanza was truly & utterly incredible, Emma helped her too & Penny watched over him giving intensive care just as thoroughly as I would have done & I am very very fussy. Yes it was expensive but they saved his life I have no doubt of that & to me what price can you put on a loved one. I will be eternally grateful to the team at Seers Croft always. Thank you from the deepest part of our hearts for saving our doggy. Ongoing support & communication with the vets regarding medication & management is still so good. Thank you eternally from one big grateful family :)
