Founded in 1987, Medivet is a veterinary owned and led group of more than 300 branches with 22 state-of-the art, 24-hour veterinary centres across the UK.
The Company offers a broad range of mainly small animal veterinary services – including both routine and advanced surgery – to meet all a pet’s health and wellbeing needs, from microchipping and neutering to more complicated surgeries and leading-edge diagnostic technology.
The business has been built on its unique branch partnership model, where vets can become equity partners with Medivet in their own clinic, with complete clinical freedom and unrivalled support from the wider Medivet network.
Medivet’s core purpose is to deliver exceptional care whenever needed and it has built a national community of passionate vets offering progressive care to pets and their pet owners. And at the heart of delivering exceptional care is Medivet’s “hub and spoke” operating model, allowing smaller practices to access the very best specialists, diagnostics and treatments through a nationwide network of 24 hour hospitals and centres – with consultation and client support still managed through the local Medivet clinic, vet and team.
Medivet has experienced rapid growth in recent years, both organic and through acquisition of new clinics. To support this growth, the business has made significant investments in new systems, infrastructure, people and expertise to ensure its clinics have access to the very best technology, information and support to continue to deliver exceptional care for their pets and clients.
One part of this support network is Medivet’s Lab Services. A UKAS accredited veterinary laboratory with highly trained staff using the latest instrumentation. Lab Services supply a complete service for haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, microbiology, cytology and histology alongside an expert pathologist team to discuss cases with vets whenever needed.
Medivet's Support Centre is located in Watford, Hertfordshire . This specialist support ensures each clinic is equipped and empowered to focus on delivering exceptional care for their pets and pet owners, with Medivet Support Centre focusing on the professional management of the practice business.
