Becoming a Branch Partner in an existing Medivet practice gives you the opportunity to own part of your own clinic, with complete clinical freedom and unrivalled support from the wider Medivet network. Our partnership programme makes it affordable and accessible for ambitious vets to buy a share of, and become partners in, a Medivet practice.
After working for Medivet for many years, Reena was able to buy into her local practice and fulfil her dream of running her own clinic. She is now Branch Partner of Medivet Pinner and Medivet Stanmore. Thanks to the support of Medivet, she’s been able to grow her practices and create lasting relationships with her clients and their pets.
The benefits of buying into a Medivet practice
Branch Partners share their experiences of partnering with Medivet to buy into and grow a successful practice.
Becoming a Branch Partner was a no-brainer really – buying into a practice that was already established which I could then grow, and that I have grown, with the support of a wider team.
Becoming a Branch Partner not only creates a promising investment that you have the opportunity to grow, but gives you a comfortable income which will continue to increase in line with the success of your practice.
As an equity partner, you’ll enjoy a real sense of shared ownership of the business, as well as leadership of the day-to-day running of your practice. You’ll receive the full support of the Medivet group in running your business, as well as dedicated support and advice from our community of Branch Partners.
Medivet will take care of all the arrangements for any funding that may be needed for the investment and will help structure the deal to be affordable. Investing in a Medivet practice gives you a unique opportunity to jointly grow an asset that you simply can’t create as an employee.
Simon became Branch Partner at 24 Hour Shrewsbury after working as a member of the team since graduating in 2013. Partnership allowed Simon to achieve his ambition of running a practice before the age of 30. With Medivet’s support, Simon was also able to progress his passion for surgery and invest in cutting-edge equipment to deliver exceptional out-of-hours care to the surrounding area.
If I’d followed the traditional route of becoming a junior partner, I doubt I would have had the input that I do. The relationship I have with Medivet has helped me unlock the potential of this practice.
Not yet ready to enter into a partnership? We offer plenty of employment opportunities for vets, and fully support your transition into becoming a Branch Partner when you feel ready.
Partnership brings higher rewards for success, both clinically and financially. Becoming a partner means you’ll create a promising investment, and benefit from growth in the capital value of your business.
By progressing the business with Medivet, you’ll achieve a higher earning potential and annual income. The better the business performs, the higher your income grows and the more valuable your investment becomes.
We believe two are better than one. We work with you to provide expertise and support that simply isn’t available to an independent practice.
Unlike a franchise model, we don’t just provide a service. We focus on combining our strengths and working together to help your practice succeed.
As well as skilled marketing and accountancy backing, you’ll also have access to better technology and the latest systems. By being part of the Medivet community, you’ll also take advantage of our increased buying power to economise the way you equip and run your practice.
By working together, we can ensure you have all the tools and advice you need to run a successful business. It’s a genuine partnership, sharing costs, profits and, ultimately, success.
The smallest Medivet clinic can function as a large hospital, simply by using our unique hub-and-spoke model to its full potential.
Our nationwide 24-hour centres with state-of-the-art equipment, surgeons and network of specialist practitioners are an extension of your clinic, regardless of how far away they may be. You’ll be part of our community of experts sharing their expertise. This means that almost every branch in Medivet has the resources, the skills and the ability to perform just as a large hospital would.
You can also take advantage the skills, knowledge and experience of our whole 600-strong vet community, allowing you to take on more complex cases and provide more advanced treatments than an independent vet may be able to.
We want you to focus on what you do best: treating and caring for your clients and their pets. That’s why, as a Branch Partner, you’ll have complete clinical freedom in all aspects of your practice. Our community is built on trust, and you’ll always decide the best way to care for your patients in a way that suits them.
Should you ever need it, our Clinical Committee and national Clinical Operations function are always there to offer their expertise and support.
