Brilliant service. My dog (as well as other animals I saw whilst waiting) was handled in a friendly, reassuring way, I was allowed to stay with him directly before and after surgery, hence he was not stressed at all. On the day he was very sleepy from the anaesthetic, but by the next day he was perfectly fine, not in pain, not sleepy, back to normal and actually pulled me back to the door of the surgery, wanting to have more friendly contact with staff. I could not be happier. Especially as he is a large Czech Wolfdog and my local vet was wary of him and wanted me to just leave him there and pick him up when he was ready to go home, "for health and safety reasons". Now THAT could have posed a health and safety issue for staff as a scared wolfdog without an owner present is a force to reckon with! I am extremely grateful for the sensitive, professional care we received from all staff.

This is an excellent practice. Alex has a lovely manner with the animals. My dog Bob is quite nervy but Alex puts him at ease. He explains things clearly and I have always been very happy with the treatment. The receptionists are polite and helpful, the waiting area clean and comfortable and there is plenty of parking.

Your partner and surgeon, Alex, is outstanding. Your veterinary nurse Natasha similarly excellent. Your nursing and reception staff and helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate. This is why we have used your surgery for the last ten years, and even though we have moved house we still prefer driving an hour to see you rather than other vets. We have referred a number of friends to you, who feel similarly to us after only several visits. Thank you all

Alex Loren’s is the most amazing vet ever, he makes my dog Saffy and her 7 puppies so at home and knows each of them individually and makes visits to Forest Lodge a pleasant experience. Truly an amazing vet and thoroughly recommend.

Having been already recommended by a friend to visit one of your vets Alex, as he had been so wonderful not only with the diagnosis and treatment of their elderly Labrador but also with his sympathetic and understanding approach with them both as owners, l decided to pay a visit and was completely blown away that such a wonderful person actually existed and in the whole way he has shown nothing but unconditional love for his patients and profession. May l also thank all the other members of staff at the practice, Chris for seeing us at short notice and giving valuable advice over the phone and your nurses and reception staff for their courteous behaviour and understanding in what is a difficult time for us as a family with a very much loved elderly black Labrador who has been given a few extra very precious months with us all. Thank you.

My whole experience has been different. Usually the cats are terrified, surrounded by dogs in the waiting room and dealt with in a way which doesn't make them feel any better when they see the vet. Here, there was a separate area so they didn't have to contend with any doggy stares. The vet allowed them to come out of their carrier in their own time and handled them in a gentle easy way - no hissing or scratching required! The operation was straightforward and the girls have made an excellent recovery. The reassurance of pre and post op checks (included in the price) and that I could get in touch at any time 24/7 makes up to what, for me, was an excellent experience.

Everyone in this surgery passionately loves animals. On top of being knowledgeable, approachable and non-judgmental. They also support other animal causes. I know that my pet will be cared for gently. I am not really skilled with words so can not quite do the surgery justice.

Alex, Chris and the team showed kindness and absolute professionalism on our visit with our lovely dog, Sheba for her procedure, I asked to stay with her which was allowed, and afterwards we went home. Unfortunately our beautiful Sheba did not survive the week and the compassion and absolute loveliness given to us last Monday 25 March was beyond anything we have ever experienced at a vet. You all should be so proud of the practice and yourselves. Thank you all. We would not hesitate to recommend you.
