I joined Medivet Shrewsbury practice straight after graduating in 2013. I’d never lived in Shrewsbury before but having moved here it has very quickly felt like home. I have been Branch Partner since July 2017 and it has flown by. I have completed my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and I’ve just enrolled on a further certificate in surgery. I have three dogs – a border terrier and two cocker spaniels – a cat, and have recently started keeping some marine fish. In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting.

I have been working at Medivet Shrewsbury for three years and thoroughly enjoy the hustle and bustle of hospital life. After qualifying in 2015, I eventually returned to my hometown of Shrewsbury and started here at Medivet. I have many pets including three dogs, two cats, two rabbits and a horse named Toffee. I have also recently started keeping marine fish. I love being outside walking the dogs or riding my horse. I’m always keen to further my skills so I aim to enrol onto the Advance Veterinary Nursing course this year.

I began working in a Telford-based practice in 1999, before moving to Staffordshire to start my Senior Veterinary Nurse training. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2003 at a veterinary hospital. I started working at Medivet Shrewsbury in 2011 as Head Nurse, and now since having my children, I work part-time as the Senior Clinical Nurse. My interests are all things surgical. I enjoy theatre work and emergency cases especially, but I love all aspects of my job. I am currently studying towards a Nurse Certificate in Anaesthesia, which I'm loving. I have a lovely dog called Flo.

Before coming to Medivet Shrewsbury I studied human nursing, working for the NHS for eight years before I moved into the veterinary industry. I’ve been at Shrewsbury for over three years. I enjoy every part of my job, particularly exotic nursing and emergency and critical care. At home I have two dogs, three cats, three rabbits, three ferrets, an African pygmy hedgehog, sugar gliders and reptiles. Outside work, I like to educate people on keeping exotic animals and I often go to reptile and exotic shows. I also enjoy playing netball, socialising and going on adventures with my dogs.

I started working at Medivet Shrewsbury as a Veterinary Care Assistant in June 2015 and I’ve recently passed my OSCEs and become a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. I previously lived in Australia for a couple of years working as a Veterinary Receptionist, which sparked my keen interest to become a Veterinary Nurse. I have two cats called Tallow and Roo and two dogs called Fox and Panda. Outside work, I enjoy playing sports, such as netball and rounders, and running with my dog Fox. I'm also a professional silversmith, hand-making silver jewellery including custom memorial pieces.

I've been working for Medivet since October 2017 and I’ve been permanent at Shrewsbury since February 2019. I previously worked in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, so I have a keen interest in wildlife and exotics and feel privileged to be able to practice the skills and knowledge that I’ve acquired. Although I don't have any animals of my own, my landlady is a 'home-from-home' dog boarder, so there are at least four or five dogs at home each night to keep me busy. I’m due to start my Veterinary Nursing Diploma at Bottle Green this September and I can’t wait to get going.

I have worked at Groomzone for two years and I'm very grateful to be able to work with so many fantastic animals and people every day. I own a chocolate labrador called Enzo, two guinea pigs, Toffee and Muffin, and will soon add a kitten to the collection called Custard. I have lived in Shrewsbury all my life. My main interests are my animals, wildlife, music and sewing.

I have been at Medivet Shrewsbury for just over 10 years, having qualified in 2019 and grown up in the area. As well as my own dogs and two cats, I also look after two dogs every day and we enjoy going on long walks together.

I have worked at the hospital for six years after moving here from Merseyside, where I worked in retail management. Moving to the countryside and changing career has been the best decision for me and my family, including my cat Peggy and my terrier Fizz, who loves to come walking with me to explore the area. Outside work, I love to travel and experience different cultures.

I’ve worked at Medivet Shrewsbury for nearly four years now. I've always had a crazy obsession for animals, which led me to college to study horses. I like to be in the great outdoors, camping, trips to the seaside, horse riding and watching copious amounts of Game of Thrones. I am owned by two cats, Steve and Bobbi, who enjoy keeping me on my toes.

Lovely vets - our rescue cat has turned out to have a few health issues and the vets have been really lovely, helpful and supportive. We've called for some advice and they have been really calm and understanding, explain things really well and cautious about putting the animal through stressful procedures that may not be needed. We had to rush our cat in on a Sunday morning and were put through to the Shrewsbury branch straight away, they saw us within 30 minutes and had all of our cats previous records to hand - I was really impressed. Even though we weren't allowed in with him due to COVID the vet talked to us over the phone and I felt really reassured he was in good hands.

Progress 100% Complete Thanks for your feedback! Please take a moment to copy and paste your comments onto one of these popular sites: I called the service at about 11pm in a very distressed state as Jack my dog had just had a fit, Robin answered and was very calm and professional as well as making me feel as if he really cared about Jack . He calmed me down and listen patiently as l 're encountered what had happened panicking and repeatedly asking the same questions in different seniorios. He talked me through what had happened reassuring me l had done the correct things while also advising me what to do if it reoccured again. He arranged an immediate appointment giving me clear concise instructions on what to do when we arrived at the hospital. We tried to bring Jack in but he got extremely distressed when he was put in the car so we decided to not put him through the ordeal. I called the hospital back and Robin answered again, he cancelled the appointment and offered me a 10am next day asking me to bring all his medication so if Jack was admitted to hospital he had his medication with him so that l would not be charged for medicines off the hospital, l told him l was going to sit up with Jack all night so he talked me through what would be the best thing for him and what to look out for to ensure he was calm and comfortable. Robin told me to call at any time through the night and he would talk me through any issues or concerns l may have, he warned me off the possibility that they may not answer the phone immediately as they could be dealing with an emergency and it could disconnect , if this occurred he advised me to not to worry and wait a few minutes and call back. I felt reassured and not alone if something did happen. We survived the night without any issues and attended our appointment next morning , Hannah was the vet who dealt with us and once again l was made to feel as if she really cared about Jack and our wellbeing,. She conversed with me at length about Jack and it was obverious she had really read through his notes. She arranged for Jack to have blood tests first thing Monday morning at our own vets. She asked if l would pay over the phone and so l called the hospital and was dealt with by a lovely lady ( apologies l forgot your name it maybe Andrea) who took my payment, she was also very professional and extremely kind we even had a bit of a giggle as she overheard my husband cursing a driver cutting us up as we drove home. What started as one of the most heartbreaking and horrendous experiences l have ever had with a dog , turned out to be a very humbling experience witnessing the care , courtesy and professional attitude of the team . You are doing a fantastic job in these difficult times Thankyou for your kindness Stay safe

Our dog was cared for at Medivet (previously Pearl) for most of her life (nearly 17 years) and was a regular visitor for one reason or another. We would like to say a huge thanks to Simon, the nurses and receptionists who always treated Daisy (and us!) with such great compassion. Her passing last week was dealt with sensitively despite the coronavirus restrictions and for that we will always be grateful. Our heartfelt thanks to you all.

Very professional. Whole team most helpful. Simon, who performed surgery on our beloved dog has, every step of the way, from first presentation to the continued aftercare has taken an inclusive, professional and compassionate approach. First class! Emma has provided hydrotherapy and, again, very warm and informative. Can’t fault care that has been holistic; they have assumed all responsibility since Shawbirch practice is closed owing to covid 19. A shout out to Andrea, who has fielded several phone calls as Titus needs complex care.

I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone at this wonderful vets. We have been visiting rather regularly recently with our beloved cat Sandie, who was poorly and receiving palliative care. Everyone is so friendly and helpful whilst being efficient. Particular thanks go to Simon. He has helped us through this awful stage of our and Sandies life with kindness, caring, compassion and honesty. He really treated her as a special and individual cat and we are so glad he was there at the end and helped us through this. Life will never be the same and one day I may be able to stop crying, meanwhile, thank you, you are all truly stars.

We've used this vet for the last ten years, two months ago we had to put our dog down. The staff are always friendly, comforting and show genuine love for your pets like you would yourself. Even though at the end we had to follow social distancing procedures they still managed to make the situation seem normal. Couldn't have asked for a better send off, would recommend this practice to everyone.
