Nicky Burrows

Nicky Burrows

Veterinary Nurse

Nicky has been at Tyldesley Vets since we opened in September 2000, she also assisted in the opening of our Adlington and Standish branches and now splits her time between all 3 branches. She qualified in 1999 after doing her training at Myerscough College. She is our head nurse and is also in charge of the insurance paperwork. She has a Jack Russell, Rosie, who comes to work with her every day. Nicky has a keen interest in horse riding and has two horses, Josh and Meg, whom she competes with most weekends.

She also has an interest in Diabetes. Although not having any pets of her own she regularly looks after her grandma's Miniature Poodle, Harvey, and would love to have a dog of her own in the future. Zophia Jones

Practice Manager

Zophia Jones

Practice Manager

Zophia spends most of her time managing the practice and our wonderful team. Keeping everything running smoothly is more than a full time job, and on top of this Zophia is always looking for ways in which we can exceed our clients' expectations. Most of Zophia's time is spent behind the scenes supporting our team, and complements the veterinary staff. She particularly likes the diversity and challenges that occur daily, and helping owners and their companions. Outside of work Zophia is just as busy with her three boys, two dogs and cat. Unsurprisingly, the animals are easier to deal with.

Always take both our cats and dog to this vets. Great service and our dog has had few issues chewing/ eating things he shouldn't and they couldn't have been more helpful.

They always treat Mary, our elderly Staffie X with great care and always, look forward to seeing her, as she does them! 1st class platinum service as always. Thank you very much, everyone concerned. Good covid measures. Helpful veterinary staff who take as long as it needs to explain things, albeit at the expense of a little wait sometimes for the appointment. All told, I like the practice and appreciate the service element.

First visit here today with our two dogs for annual check and vaccination after changing vets. The vet they saw was Tom. His patience and time with our eldest dog was exceptional as he has real anxiety issues with vets following a bad experience at our previous practice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this veterinary centre.
