I qualified from Nottingham University veterinary school. I'm particularly interested in exotic animal medicine and small animal internal medicine - especially endocrinology (hormone disorders). I enjoy climbing, kayaking and scuba diving. I also love to cook so keep the practice running with a regular supply of baked goods. I was nominated for PetPlan's national Vet of the Year in 2014 and 2015. I also work alongside Jeremy to care for our zoological clientele.

I joined the team officially in April 2016 as a PCA after completing work experience and volunteering on Saturdays since I was 15 years old. I qualified as an RVN in 2020 and became Head nurse not long after. I am very passionate about rescue and rehabilitation and I have three rescue dogs of my own. Maintaining client relationships and giving an excellent level of patient care are extremely important to me. Outside of work I enjoy walking my dogs or spending time with my young daughter.

I joined the team in May 2022, after I had volunteered at another veterinary practice for 2 years, alongside my previous job. I have always known I want to become a veterinary nurse as animal health and care is my passion. I have a diploma in canine behaviour. I am looking forward to starting my veterinary nurse training in September. At home I have 2 dogs a staffie cross called Dottie, a border collie called Saxon and a black and white cat called Ember.

I joined the team in October 2017 and work part-time at the Dover branch. I've lived in Dover all my life and am a qualified hairdresser as well as being a busy mum of four girls. I enjoy shopping, spending time with friends and walking my dogs. I have a french bulldog and a labrador, as well as a cat and parrot.

I joined the reception team after lots of years of working hands-on at a local kennels. Now happy to take a more hands-off approach, apart from occasional cuddles of course, I'm often busy furthering my veterinary knowledge. I primarily work at the Dover and Whitfield branches. Outside of work I enjoy living on a working farm and walking my border collie.

I work at our Dover and Whitfield surgeries and can most often be found cuddling visiting puppies in the reception area - a 'job' over which I claims full ownership. I enjoy client care and keeping nervous patients relaxed. I'm involved in the training of new receptionists.

I joined the team in 2016 and soon had the practice practicing their northern accents. With plenty of client care experience I comfort and care for our clients during the good times and the more difficult times.

The staff are pleasant, kind and I felt that more than enough time was allowed to bring us up to speed on the reported conditions. Also the care that was provided, seems ok, the dog returned alive and in good spirits. Reviewing two as opposed to one is a reflection of the staff, leaving enough gravity to make the point. My issue is:- If you’re going to charge top rates then we expect a top service in every way. The state of disrepair in the waiting room, a 3 storey buildings should not have roof related water leaks on the ground floor. It’s just a total disregard for maintenance. Someone’s liable for loss of earnings here. As by me noticing this, it quickly became a concern, where are these profits being channelled? Had I not seen this I’d have likely paid my bill, without these sorts of questions. Except now, I’m actively looking to a locally owned and run veterinary surgery. I guess I too share the same care for buildings as vets do for animals. Unfortunately there’s no RSPCA to step in here. I’d advise Medivet to promptly rectify these clearly visible issues, which are causing visual distress to both clients and staff. By way of concerns, where to sit in the waiting room, people & animals with intolerances to damp and dust. Where can they go? The staff too, unfortunately having to listen to our concerns as to what’s going on. Unfortunately this kind of behaviour from Medivet, draws our attention to their greed in not maintaining this veterinary surgery. If it wasn’t for Alex’s expertise, professionalism and background knowledge of our dogs condition we wouldn’t be back. I have already emailed the review team @ Medivet direct. Chau! I sent an email and no one’s responded 👇

Absolutely awful veterinary surgery. Happy to leave clients waiting for over 1hour as "running a few minutes late" no compassion for sick pets also waiting in a freezing cold waiting room. When enquiring as to where the vet was no explanation was given other than she couldn't see the patient now and to leave the animal with them. Which as a new customer and had no faith in their abilities due to the experience thus far, this was not acceptable. Will not be recommending. Terrible customer service. Worst vet I've ever been to.
