Symptom Checker

If you’re not sure whether your pet needs to see a vet, our quick and easy Symptom Checker can help. Answer a few simple questions about the signs of illness your pet is displaying and the checker will advise whether a trip to the vet is necessary and how urgently that specialist care should be given.

When I was in Hong Kong, I completed a BSc Hons degree in Chemistry. I then completed my BVMS Hons at Glasgow University and graduated in 2016. I also finished an internship program for Avian Medicine and Surgery in Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. My areas of speciality are exotics, surgery and cats. I’m currently studying a certificate in Exotic Medicine and Surgery. At home, I have a Royal Python called Nagini, a Husky called Suet Suet (which means Snowy in Chinese) and two leopard geckos. I also enjoy playing video games.

I'm due to qualify as a nurse this year after three years of study. I hope to continue my study and undertake a certificate in anaesthesia in the future. I've been working in the veterinary field for five years and am very excited to be part of this new branch. I am the recognised cat advocate for the practice, this means I am continuously reviewing and keeping up to date with strategies to make cat visits to the clinic less stressful and am on hand to offer advice to clients regarding all aspects of cat care. At home I have a labradoodle called 'Carrig' which is irish for rock, as he is always my rock to lean on. I enjoy drawing in my spare time and finding new places to explore with my dog.

I joined Medivet with the opening of the Bedford Clapham practice. I've completed a two year course at Shuttleworth College studying Animal Management with Science Level Three, and used to work on a farm. At home I have three working cocker spaniels, Ella, Lola and Willow, and one yorkie cross jack russell, Roxy. In my spare time I love to travel - my favourite place to go is Australia.
