Symptom Checker

If you’re not sure whether your pet needs to see a vet, our quick and easy Symptom Checker can help. Answer a few simple questions about the signs of illness your pet is displaying and the checker will advise whether a trip to the vet is necessary and how urgently that specialist care should be given.

I've been working at Medivet since April 2012 and have been at the Dulwich practice since February 2017. I have a keen interest in ultrasonography and am about to complete a Certificate in Internal Medicine. At home I have a four-year-old domestic long hair called Yolo. When I'm not working I am looking after my three-year-old twins, baking, travelling and dancing.

I qualified in Lithuania in 2013 before moving to the UK later that year. I’ve been a member of the Dulwich team since May 2018, having previously spent a year at the Croydon practice. I’m always looking to learn and I’m currently studying for a certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In my spare time, I enjoy meeting up with friends, travelling and cooking.

After qualifying and working in Sydney, Australia, I moved over the UK to continue my veterinary nursing career. I joined Medivet Dulwich in January 2019 and I’m currently studying VPAC, a qualification which will help further my management career in the veterinary industry. I enjoy meeting up with friends and travelling. Sadly I don’t have any pets but I do hope to own a Sphynx cat called Mr Joey.

I first joined the Medivet Dulwich team in December 2017 and I’m studying hard in my first year of vet nurse training at the Medivet Training College. I’m also known as the cat whisperer on the team. I’ve ridden horses for over ten years and I have a white tortoiseshell cat called Ollie who lives with my parents and is very feisty.

I have been on the Dulwich team for around 16 years and absolutely love meeting all our lovely clients and their pets. Before this, I worked as a nanny. In my spare time, I spend time watching TV shows, going to the theatre and sitting in the sunshine. I also love travelling to new and exciting places.

The staff are really kind to our cats and lovely with us. Under lockdown they have been so accommodating with our old cat, gowning up to allow us to be with her when she had to be put to sleep, and microchipping and vaccinating our new cat a few weeks later. The pandemic is a worrying time but to know our pets still have access to great medical care is a real weight off our minds.

Progress 100% Complete Thanks for your feedback! Please take a moment to copy and paste your comments onto one of these popular sites: We suddenly discovered that our cat was unwell, having attributed recent slight changes in her behaviour to the effects of aging. Both our cat and ourselves were treated with compassion and patience by the staff, who listened to us and took time to explain what was happening to our cat and possible courses of action. We were able to have one last precious weekend together as we came to terms with the inevitable. We received the kindest treatment during our final visit to the vet, who enabled our dear family member to pass away with dignity. I cannot sufficiently express our gratitude to the team.

We came in with a poorly paw and my beagle Lola was very anxious. The vet, reception and other lovely staff were super calm and welcoming. Came out and saw her in the reception area because she was so nervous. Super helpful and just wonderful. Thanks again, Lola and Melissa x

Despite the difficult news we had learned that day, vet Inga Sadykova and other staff went above and beyond to do their for our beloved cat Spice who was in a very bad way, considering our options. We're very grateful for their commitment to giving the best for our furry friends.

The vet, Katya, is so caring and puts my dog so at ease. The nurses were all lovely and I felt very confident that my dog who was having a major operation was in safe and caring hands. On picking up my dog, his aftercare and medication was carefully explained with many invitations to ring if I'm concerned about anything. There was even a leaflet on what to expect and what to do in various scenarios. I feel very safe and supported. I think an appointment 3 days later to check on my dog is such a good idea so I'm grateful the vet will check him over in a few days. My dog is doing very well and slowly feeling better. Thank you so much Medivet! Ps I'm always impressed with EVERY visit by the caring and gentle staff.
