Branch Partner and Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified in South Africa in 1995 before moving to the area and working as a dedicated small animal vet in Northwest London for 29 years. I have a general practitioner certificate in Feline Practice, and I have a special interest in rehabilitative medicine, including acupuncture. I'm mum to two teenage girls , a rescue crossbreed called Todd, three rescue cats called Madiba , Sheeba and Touché. Being a community vet means that many of my clients have been with me for nearly three decades and I've looked after all their pets and gotten to know all the family and I love that aspect of my job . I enjoy all aspects of soft tissue surgery, medical cases and dentistry including endodontics .

Head Veterinary Nurse

I moved from South Africa in 2005 to follow my passion for animals. I enrolled in college in 2007 and completed my diploma as a Registered, Qualified Veterinary Nurse a few years later while working as a nurse in Medivet HGS. I had already become the Head Nurse and continued to learn and teach through my work. I love dogs, cats and especially small furries. I have a keen and knowledgeable interest in dog behaviour, which started at the age of 16, when I taught my Dalmatians to fetch their food bowls. I've had many pets of my own: 3 Dalmatians, 2 rats, 2 guinea pigs, many rabbits, 5 guinea fowl, and 3 chickens. I have one pet now, Pepper, a peking bantum chicken, who I rescued at 4 days old. She is now 8 years old. I have 2 children, and after a few years break with them, I've returned to Medivet TF and loving it!

I left my career in the tech industry to follow my passion, working with animals! I joined Medivet in September 2023 and I am loving spending every day with animals, giving them care and attention and watching them make a recovery. At home I have a pet gerbil, and I have spent many years pet sitting and caring for, rehoming and rehabilitating stray cats. My dream is to spend time with, and caring for, wild animals in their natural habitats across the world. An area that also interests me is Animal-Assisted Therapy, where animals who are helped are paired with people who need help, in a beautiful process of mutual healing. I have spent time volunteering in this area and look forward to exploring it more. Advocating for animal rights and welfare is very important to me, as is my work in the (human!) diversity, equity and inclusion space, which I hope to keep up. I look forward to meeting your pets and helping them get back to their normal, happy selves.

Hello, my name is Layla and I am a patient care assistant. I've worked with dogs for over 8 years as a walker and boarder and I love caring for all your furry friends! My favourite animals are cows and I have a King Charles cavalier called Charlie. When I'm not working, you'll find me out walking, reading a book or hanging out with my dog.

I decided to move to the UK in 2018 from Slovakia to study. After graduating from the University of Derby in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, I relocated to London to begin my career as a PCA with the goal of becoming a RVN. My primary area of interest is exotic animals and studying of their behaviour. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, going on hikes, climbing, and going to the gym.

I'm a mom of two very energetic little boys, who are my whole world. I was born in South Africa, and grew up on a farm, surrounded by all sorts of animals! My Dad even had a pet monkey!! This is my second time back in London, and my first time ever working at a Vets! I am one of the receptionists at Medivet Temple Fortune (been here for a few months now), and I love all our clients, furry or not 🙂

I have worked at Medivet Temple Fortune for a few months, and enjoy getting to say hello to all the dogs and cats that pass through reception. I love being around animals and grew up always having pets. I also have a well behaved cocker spaniel (90% of the time)! I look forward to what the future holds here at Medivet Temple Fortune

No complaints. We moved to this one from Hendon which I feel is better. Lovely and friendly staff behind the desk to greet customers. Competent and caring vets. Easier to get to as well as the Hendon vet is on an awful street thats too busy.

We've been coming every week due to an ongoing condition, every time we are seen by a different vet and we get a different opinion. The most extreme example was one saying we've exhausted our round on antibiotics and surgery is required and when I said I wanted my pet's medical history to get a second opinion, suddenly a more senior vet said that another round can actually be given, and after this, that same vet said surgery wouldn't be required. They have offered to submit insurance claim for me, but when I inquired about the status they said this has been taken care of/closed, but I've not heard from the insurance and when I called the insurer they told me they're never received anything from the practice. The admin side seems a blunder, with the receptionist replying that she's new and still learning upon every request which is probably what contributed to my claims getting dropped. I came to this practice due to great review and after belonging to medivet Finchley before it was closed, I thought that another branch would be as good. I was wrong and after the last check up appointment I will find myself another practice

Very expensive :( The vet was lovely and manually express my puppy glands and prescribed him antibiotic and another’s medications not really necessary for my point of view. I paid the full bill of £197 and I found it to be too much. My puppy has had the same problem a month ago and vet Patrick done the same without treatment for a cost of £ 65. If every month I need to pay all this money it’s a big problem as it’s too much, very expensive and the problem is still present. Lovely staff, lovely environment. A pleasure to see all of the them love their job. Thank you
